Water

  • Conserve water when and where you can

  • Turn off water used for cooling of equipment when not needed

  • Use cold water when possible

  • Less water you use, less energy is needed to pump the water through the faucet

  • Report any water leak

Campus Energy Facts for Water

There are over 3,604 toilets, 822 urinals, 3,917 laboratory sinks, 3,403 lavatories, and 1,184 drinking fountains in the campus buildings (excludes resident halls.)

Water and sewage costs account for 7% of the total energy costs of the campus.

During the recent years, over 3,000 water-saving plumbing fixtures have been installed in the campus buildings.
