Campus Energy Facts for Lighting:

There are over 200,000 light fixtures in our campus buildings. In the recent years over 95% of these fixtures have been converted to energy efficient electronic ballasts and T8 fluorescent light bulbs.

Occupancy sensors are installed in over 10,000 rooms in the campus to automatically turn the lights off when rooms are not in use.

Lighting accounts for about 11% of our electricity usage and 5% of the overall energy costs of the campus.
