  Accomplishments

• Chiller replacement project at WSHP will save $1.5 million & 5,000 tons of CO2 emission annually

• A comprehensive study to replace coal with biomass based fuels at CSHP is underway

• Per Governor Doyle’s executive order, 10% of campus electricity is purchased from wind power

• Campus burns 28% less coal due to a legal settlement reducing 20,000 tons of CO2 annually

• An aggressive repair & energy conservation program is under way for the campus utilities distribution systems
